Once I started thinking about what I was putting in my body through the things that I ate and drank it was a natural next step to think about what I was putting on it too. Take a look at the ingredients list on many popular brands of skin care and make-up products – have you any idea what half of them are? Does it concern you that you are putting these on your skin, to be absorbed by the largest organ in your body? I certainly was, and am moving more and more towards using organic and natural products.
. Rather than throwing away mountains of cotton wool and tissues after removing your make-up, what about using re-useable organic pads which you can pop in your normal wash and re-use to your heart’s content? You can buy them from the Friends of the Earth shop. I use them and love them!
. Why buy products full of many incomprehensible ingredients when you can use natural items that you completely understand. For example, did you know that there are at least 40 things you can do with honey and another 40 things you can with lemons?
